Supporting the Children in Our Community

The Peterborough Pop Ensemble is thrilled to be supporting the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation with a portion of the proceeds from our concert on Saturday, April 28, 2018, 7:30 p.m. at The Market Hall Performing Arts Centre in Peterborough.  Representatives from the charity will be on hand at the concert and will happily answer your questions and accept donations – big or small.  

The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation is a dedicated to raising and disbursing  funds used to enrich the quality of life of children found in need of protection by Kawartha-Haliburtion Children’s Aid Society.  The Foundation’s exists for the benefit of children found in need of protection by the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society and is committed to continually informing the community at large of the benefits of the Foundation’s work with children at risk and to provide ways for the community to respond to current and future needs.  In addition, the Foundation is dedicated to the support of Crown Wards of the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society by encouraging them to achieve their full potential.

The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation is the arms-length foundation of the KHCAS (Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society).  Funds raised are used to assist children, youth and families supported by our local Children’s Aid Society by providing them with enrichment opportunities for which they do not receive government funding as a means to strengthen their capacity and reach their full potential.  The Foundation’s primary focus is to assist those who need our help the most – disadvantaged children and youth. 

The Foundation is committed to a financial allocation to a wide variety of life-enriching programs ranging from dance and music lessons to sports activities, from our Summer Camp Program to our bursary program.
