Canada Day

The Peterborough Pop Ensemble is happy to be continuing past traditions by kicking off the Canada Day parade at Peterborough City Hall on July 1st. There will be many of the Pop's favourites performed, then O Canada to start the parade.

Sing!

Sing! is The Toronto International Vocal Arts Festival which features a capella groups (without instrumental accompaniment). The annual outdoor festival is held this year at Trillium Park, located in Ontario Place. The Pop Ensemble is thrilled to be invited to perform on June 3rd at 12:00pm.

Ontario 55+ Summer Games

The Ontario 55+ Summer Games is a celebration of active living. Hosted annually, alternating between Winter and Summer, the Games bring together people 55 years of age or older for competition and camaraderie. The Games Ontario Program is operated under the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries as part of its efforts to support amateur sport, physical activity, and community development in the province. The Ontario 55+ Games are delivered in partnership with the Ontario Senior Games Association.

The Pop Ensemble was honoured to be a part of the opening ceremonies by singing the national anthem. It was the first time the bilingual version was performed.

Paddles Up!

The Pop Ensemble is honoured to be singing at the Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival on June 10th. It is always such a privilege to be part of the Carnation ceremony at Little Lake - a ceremony of remembrance - which is held annually. Special mention to Survivors Abreast who organize this amazing event. All money raised will help purchase equipment to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.
